Personal data shared with these processors is governed by their respective privacy policies as well as the terms of our data processing arrangements with each provider.

Upon expiry of the applicable retention period, personal data is securely deleted or anonymised so that it can no longer be associated with any identifiable individual. Where anonymisation is not technically feasible, data is securely destroyed.
Section 08
Security Measures
max66 implements a layered security architecture to protect personal data against unauthorised access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. Key security measures include:
- Encryption in Transit: All data transmitted between your browser or device and the max66 Platform is encrypted using TLS 1.2 or higher (256-bit SSL), including login credentials, payment data, and KYC document uploads.
- Encryption at Rest: Sensitive personal data stored on max66 servers — including identity documents, financial account details, and password hashes — is encrypted using AES-256 encryption.
- Access Controls: Access to personal data systems is restricted to authorised personnel on a strict least-privilege basis. All access is logged and subject to periodic review.
- Multi-Factor Authentication: Internal access to systems containing personal data requires multi-factor authentication for all personnel.
- Regular Security Audits: The Platform undergoes periodic third-party penetration testing and security assessments. Identified vulnerabilities are remediated according to a defined risk-based schedule.
- Incident Response: max66 maintains a documented data breach response procedure. In the event of a breach affecting personal data, affected Account Holders will be notified in accordance with applicable data protection requirements.
While max66 takes all reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal data, no internet transmission or electronic storage system is 100% secure. Account Holders are responsible for maintaining the security of their own login credentials and devices. If you suspect that your Account has been compromised, contact support immediately.
Section 09
Your Rights Over Personal Data
As a max66 Account Holder, you hold the following rights with respect to personal data we process about you. To exercise any of these rights, submit a written request to [email protected] clearly identifying the right you wish to exercise. We will respond within 30 calendar days of receiving a valid request.
-
Right of Access: You may request a copy of all personal data max66 holds about you, along with information about how it is used, where it is stored, and with whom it has been shared. This is commonly referred to as a Subject Access Request (SAR).
-
Right to Rectification: If any personal data we hold about you is inaccurate, incomplete, or out of date, you have the right to request correction. Minor corrections (such as updating a contact number) can often be made directly within your Account settings.
-
Right to Erasure: You may request the deletion of your personal data where: (a) it is no longer necessary for the purpose it was collected; (b) you withdraw consent and no other legal basis applies; or (c) you successfully object to processing based on legitimate interest. This right is subject to our regulatory retention obligations — we cannot delete data we are legally required to retain.
-
Right to Restrict Processing: In certain circumstances, you may request that we restrict the processing of your data while a correction or objection request is under review.
-
Right to Data Portability: Where processing is based on consent or contract and is carried out by automated means, you may request that your personal data be provided to you in a structured, commonly used, machine-readable format (e.g., CSV or JSON).
-

How to Submit a Request: Send your data rights request to
[email protected] with the subject line "Data Rights Request — [Your Request Type]". Please include your registered email address and Account username to assist us in identifying your records promptly.
Section 10

Children's Privacy
The max66 Platform is strictly intended for individuals aged 21 years and above. We do not knowingly collect, use, or process personal data from anyone under the age of 21. If max66 becomes aware that an Account has been registered by a person under 21, the Account will be immediately closed, any balance forfeited in accordance with the Terms & Conditions, and all personal data associated with the Account deleted as soon as reasonably practicable, subject to any regulatory retention requirements.
If you have reason to believe that a minor has accessed the Platform or provided personal data to max66, please contact us immediately at [email protected] so that we may investigate and take appropriate action.
Section 12
Third-Party Links
The max66 Platform does not contain outbound links to third-party websites. In the event that future Platform updates include any reference to external resources, this Policy will be updated accordingly. For the avoidance of doubt, max66 is not responsible for the privacy practices of any third-party service, including but not limited to the payment processors used to facilitate transactions.
If you navigate to any third-party website independently (for example, your bank's online portal when completing an FPX transfer), the privacy policy and data handling practices of that third party apply to any data you submit on their platform. max66 is not a party to those data processing activities.
Section 13
Cross-Border Data Transfers
Certain service providers engaged by max66 — including cloud hosting infrastructure and KYC verification vendors — may process personal data in jurisdictions outside Malaysia. Where such cross-border transfers occur, max66 ensures appropriate safeguards are in place to protect transferred personal data to a standard equivalent to that described in this Policy.
Safeguards employed for cross-border transfers include: contractual data processing agreements incorporating standard contractual clauses; transfer to jurisdictions with an equivalent or higher level of data protection; and technical controls ensuring the data remains encrypted in transit and at rest in the destination jurisdiction.
You may request information about specific cross-border data transfer safeguards applicable to your personal data by contacting [email protected].
Section 14

Material changes to this Policy will be communicated to Account Holders via the registered email address associated with their Account, no less than seven (7) days before the changes take effect.
The "Last Updated" date at the top of this page indicates when the Policy was most recently revised. We encourage Account Holders to review this Policy periodically. Your continued use of the Platform following the effective date of any amendment constitutes acceptance of the updated Policy.
If you do not accept the revised Privacy Policy, you should discontinue use of the Platform and may request account closure in accordance with the Terms & Conditions. Previous versions of this Policy are available upon written request to [email protected].
